Cobbold Gorge

Carnarvon Gorge

Located in Carnarvon National Park, this remote and picturesque destination features ancient Indigenous Australian rock art, stunning sandstone cliff faces, lush vegetation, and an array of wildlife. It’s the perfect place for hiking and exploring, with nature trails leading to unique rock formations and waterholes. Lady Musgrave Island

Wallaman Falls

Wallaman Falls is the tallest, single-drop waterfall in Australia, yet remains a hidden treasure – until now. Located in Girringun National Park, this waterfall cascades from an elevation of 268 metres. There are hiking trails that allow you to view the falls from various angles and the surrounding rainforest is rich in biodiversity. Home to the unique platypus, sugar glider, and cassowary, this is truly a magical place. Just over two hours from Townsville or Mission Beach, you’ll want to pack a picnic to enjoy a full day of nature immersion.
